Event Description:
Join the Dearborn County Chamber of Commerce for our Monthly Lunch & Learn presented by FCB Bank, held on the last Wednesday of each month! These engaging sessions feature varied topics and locations, providing valuable insights for local businesses and professionals. Plus, it's a great opportunity to network with fellow Chamber members while enjoying a complimentary lunch. This event is free for Chamber members, so don’t miss out on the chance to learn, connect, and grow. Stay tuned for updates on each month’s topic and location—we look forward to seeing you there! As always, thank you to FCN Bank for your continued support!

The Liberty Tax workshop will include information on the OBBBA Tax Law impacts to business and individuals.  This will be based on IRS facts, and not social media myths but we are happy to address information that the public has posted on social media that is causing confusion.

Topics for businesses will include depreciation, general expensing, charitable contributions, status of clean energy credits and expensing qualified business income.  We also have information on what employers need to do to be compliant for the impact on tips and overtime.  There are also compliance issues to be aware of with educational assistance programs and dependent care programs along with insights on how to use these strategically within a business.

Regarding changes impacting individuals, the workshop will include information on standard deductions, child tax credits, above line deductions and common mistakes to avoid.

This is a lot of information.  We will move quickly, answer questions as time allows and will create a “follow-up” for questions that we don’t have time to answer.
